Director of Operations

In this senior leadership position, you will shape the customer experience, operational strategy, and service design from the ground up. You will lead the development of service models, oversee demand forecasting and performance standards, and manage engagement across government, industry, and community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop integrated customer, operations, and maintenance service frameworks
• Lead demand modelling, service planning, and customer experience initiatives
• Manage high-level stakeholder relationships across public and private sectors
• Provide strategic input to procurement, technical advisory, and delivery readiness
• Lead complex procurement and policy initiatives that support operational and regulatory goals
• Offer policy and advice aligned with national infrastructure goals

About You

You’re a visionary leader with a strong track record in transport, infrastructure, or customer service operations. You bring deep expertise in service design and demand forecasting, thrive in complex, multi-agency settings, and are passionate about delivering public value through innovative, data-driven strategies. With at least five years’ experience in people management, you inspire high-performing teams and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

To Be Successful, You’ll Need

• Australian citizenship
• Ability to obtain Baseline security clearance
• Significant experience in large-scale transport infrastructure, government policy, or public operations
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong collaboration skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills and confidence in phone-based interactions.
• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service.
